Canadian PM Justin Trudeau visits Fountainhead a gay bar in Vancouver during the city’s Pride celebrations.
Trudeau was welcomed by patrons as he walked through the pub chatting and posing for photos with patrons. Trudeau posted to Twitter that the Vancouver “spirit of pride and inclusivity is strong all year long!”
MP for Vancouver Center, Hedy Fry posted her welcome to Trudeau on Instagram, “So pleased to have welcomed @justinpjtrudeau to @thefountainheadpub in my riding.”
Trudeau isn’t afraid to lift the profile of LGBTIQ rights and standing in solidarity with the community. In 2016 he made history when he was the first Canadian prime minister to march in a Pride parade. Back then he was waving rainbow flags, dancing and taking photos with other marchers.
