Jordan Firstman Details A Truly Wild Encounter With an Ex
Actor-writer-songwriter Jordan Firstman never filters himself, but his latest confession still left listeners stunned. Speaking on the 8 July episode of Harry Jowsey’s Boyfriend Material podcast, the Rotting In The Sun star was asked what he would say to one particular ex.
A fisting attempt and an insult.
Firstman recalled that the ex turned up “to apologise” after their split, failed to stay hard, tried to fist him, then sneered, “I can’t imagine anyone ever loving you.”
“That was weird behaviour,” Firstman told Jowsey. “I didn’t like that, and that’s why I haven’t spoken to you since.” The room cracked up at the mix of cruelty and absurdity, but Firstman made it clear the joke ended there.
Humour as a coping tool for bad break-ups.
Firstman’s blunt retelling flips the power dynamic: he owns the narrative, aming the disrespect for what it was and moving on. Ever had an ex weaponise intimacy to knock your confidence? Firstman’s story is a reminder that someone else’s insecurity is never your burden to carry.
Firstman’s new music finds an audience.
The 34-year-old’s candour also drives his music. In March he released I Wanna See My Friends’ Dicks, a cheeky single that previewed his comedy-pop album Secrets. The full record landed on 11 April through Capitol Records, the label behind Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Troye Sivan and Ice Spice, and pairs confessional lyrics with hooky production. Reviewers have praised the project for turning messy real-life moments into a sing-along catharsis.
