John Krasinski, known for his role as Jim in The Office, has been named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2024. The announcement came during The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night. At 45, Krasinski takes the crown from Patrick Dempsey, who held the title in 2023.
“Zero thoughts, just immediate blackout,” Krasinski told People about his reaction to the news. The actor’s transformation from the sweet, floppy-haired Jim Halpert to a muscular action star in Jack Ryan has caught everyone’s attention.
His wife, Emily Blunt, might need to redecorate soon. “She promised to use the magazine cover as wallpaper in our house,” Krasinski said with a laugh. “I think this title means more household chores for me.”
Krasinski’s career shows his range. He co-wrote and directed A Quiet Place, which turned into a successful three-film series. During the lockdown, he created Some Good News, a web series that brought positivity to viewers. His latest work as director, IF, a film about imaginary friends, features his wife Emily Blunt.
