Jacob Elordi Says “Euphoria” Season 3 Is “Incredibly Liberating” And “Clever”
Jacob Elordi has provided a small update on the much-anticipated third season of Euphoria, suggesting his character, Nate Jacobs, is heading in a new direction.
Speaking with Variety on the Academy Museum Gala red carpet, Elordi was positive about the filming process. “It was incredible, man,” he said. “It was incredibly liberating. I got to play something so sort of far out from what I’ve done before.”
Elordi also praised the show’s creator, Sam Levinson, describing the new season as “incredibly clever and cinematic”. He concluded, “I think people are really going to like it.”

The scripts are kept like FBI files.
If you’re looking for spoilers, Elordi is not the one to ask. He insisted that the production is extremely secretive and he has no knowledge of the other storylines.
“Everybody shoots at different storylines. I don’t know what anyone else is doing,” Elordi claimed. “I had a really singular storyline. You don’t know what the other storylines are. It’s like FBI files.”
He added that this secrecy means he can watch the final product fresh. “I’ll get to consume the show the same way that everybody else does as a fan, which I haven’t been able to do before. I’m really excited.”
But will Nate get a boyfriend…
While Elordi keeps quiet, his co-star Austin Abrams (who plays Ethan) has shared his own hopes for Nate’s character development.
Abrams previously told The Nerds Of Color he wants Nate to explore something new. “I would love Nate to like… I don’t know, maybe he needs a boyfriend or something nice.”
He even floated the idea of a fantasy sequence. “[Just one episode.] Yeah, just something like that, maybe even a fantasy episode, where he goes on a nice date and has a picnic or something.”
Abrams also expressed interest in sharing a scene with Elordi, though he admitted it would be a “weird interaction,” especially after Ethan’s provocative play in season two.
The cast is lining up.
The HBO series, which follows high schooler Rue (Zendaya) through addiction and social pressures, has already secured nine Emmy awards.
For its third season, Zendaya is confirmed to return. She will be joined by regulars Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Dominic Fike, and Colman Domingo. New additions reportedly include Natasha Lyonne, Trisha Paytas, and Eli Roth.
