Hudson Williams Made Jimmy Fallon Say “Cock Sock” On TV And Somehow Kept A Straight Face

Hudson Williams has been doing the rounds for Heated Rivalry, but his stop on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon felt like the moment things officially tipped from “cult hit” to full mainstream chaos.

If you’ve watched the show, you already know Williams plays Shane Hollander, the tightly wound hockey golden boy who falls for his arch rival and begins a secret gay affair. On Fallon’s couch, Williams leaned into that contrast: polite suit, calm voice, and stories that kept the bleep button working overtime.

So what did Fallon actually get out of him?

For starters, Williams admitted he and co-star Connor Storrie clicked fast, which made playing enemies harder than it looked. “That was one of the harder elements because we became besties right away,” Williams told Fallon.

There was also a neat little character nod early on: Williams cracked a Canada Dry ginger ale, which Toronto Life points out is a running gag tied to Shane’s personality on Heated Rivalry.

The interview got naughtier the moment “hockey smut” came up.

One of the funniest beats was Williams explaining that he didn’t even know what “hockey smut” meant before auditioning, then trying to walk Fallon through the behind-the-scenes reality of filming the intimate sex scenes.

He explained the mechanics of the “intimacy garment” used on set. He even used the colloquial term “cock sock,” which promptly got bleeped by the network censors. Jimmy looked like his eyes might pop out of his head. Hudson explained how the garment “grabs the berries” with helpful hand motions. It was chaotic, honest, and exactly the kind of behind-the-scenes tea we love.

Fallon ended up on the floor, and that was not an accident. Assume the position.

The highlight of the night was the physical demonstration. Hudson decided to teach Jimmy a proper hockey stretch. This involved both men getting down on all fours on the studio floor. Hudson showed off a thrusting-style stretch that looked more like a move from Magic Mike than the NHL.

Jimmy struggled to keep up, while Hudson joked, “Carson didn’t do this.” It was playful and showed off a looser side of the actor that we rarely see in the buttoned-up Shane Hollander.

Besties in real life.

We know the on-screen rivalry and the sex scenes are intense, but the reality is much sweeter. Hudson confessed that acting like he hated co-star Connor Storrie was the hardest part of the job. “We became besties right away,” he told Jimmy. This instant connection made the antagonistic scenes difficult but clearly paid off for the romance. He also teased Season 2, joking that “everyone dies” before clarifying that the next chapter will focus on external battles rather than internal ones.

The internet reacts.

Social media has been in a frenzy since the interview aired. The term “boy aquarium” came up, referencing how fans on TikTok watch hockey just to look at the attractive players. Hudson laughed it off, proving he knows exactly what the internet is saying about him and the show.

It’srefreshing to see a star who gets the joke and joins in on the fun. Catch up on the episode if you missed it, because this is one interview you will want to see for yourself.
