How Kristian Nairn’s Life Changed After “Game Of Thrones”

Isaac Hempstead Wright and Kristian Nairn in Conan (Yotube/Team Coco)

The big, lovable Kristian Nairn – you might not know his name, but you definitely know Hodor. Yes, that Hodor from Game Of Thrones. The gentle giant who stole our hearts with just one word.

Now, he’s telling his story in Beyond The Throne: Epic Journeys, Enduring Friendships, And Surprising Tales. It’s the first tell-all book from anyone in the show’s cast and it’s packed with juicy bits about what went on behind those massive castle walls.

Before he was holding doors on TV, Nairn was spinning tracks as a DJ and lighting up nights as drag performer Revvlon at Belfast’s Kremlin nightclub. His path to playing Hodor wasn’t your typical acting story – it was more like stumbling into exactly where he needed to be.

The show became huge! 25 million viewers per episode huge. But Nairn’s book isn’t just about the glitz and drama of a hit TV show. It’s about finding your place when you feel different, about being yourself when the world wants you to be someone else.

From Club Beats to Castle Keeps

In a recent chat with Instinct, Nairn opened up about what pushed him to write this book. He talks about everything – from his first nervous steps into the audition room to becoming one of TV’s most memorable characters. And yes, he even hints at whether Revvlon might make a comeback (fingers crossed!).
