Hottie Alex Landi’s Surprising Return To “Grey’s Anatomy” Will Leave You Speechless

Alex Landi and Jake Borelli in Grey's Anatomy (ABC)

Alex Landi’s Dr. Nico Kim is back at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, but this time, he’s not alone. The gay male surgeon and first male Asian surgeon in Grey’s Anatomy has returned with a new baby daddy and surrogate, leaving his ex, Dr. Levi Schmitt, reeling.

As Dr. Nico Kim, Landi made his mark on Grey’s Anatomy in Season 15. With his film-star looks and rock-hard abs, he quickly became a fan favourite. But it was his enigmatic personality that kept viewers guessing, especially when it came to his on-again, off-again relationship with Dr. Levi Schmitt.

Their romance began in the back of an ambulance, weathering a storm. What started as confusion for Dr. Schmitt soon turned into a rocky, tension-filled, but very hot relationship. It was palpable enough to keep viewers coming back for more.

In Season 18, Dr. Nico Kim left Grey Sloan Memorial for the Seattle Mariners, leaving Levi heartbroken. But in a shocking twist, Nico returned this year with a new family in tow. Speaking to Shondaland, Landi revealed, “Nico is definitely more collected; he’s not that ice-cold kind of doctor that you’re normally seeing throughout the show.”

The 31-year-old actor has made his mark in several other shows, including Station 19, Insatiable, and Walker. He’s also appeared in Doja Cat’s Kiss Me More music video, alongside SZA.

As Dr. Nico, Kim navigates his new life as a father, fans are eager to see what’s next for this character.
