He’s Done It Again! More Unscientific Nonsense From RFK – This Time It’s Teenagers’ Sperm!
The US Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has left a Fox host looking baffled after making a wild declaration about teenage testosterone.
While appearing on Jesse Watters Primetime, Kennedy discussed his push to remove food dyes from circulation. He then stated one consequence of these dyes is that “a teenager today, an American teenager has less testosterone than a 68-year-old man.”
This follows a similar incident last month, when Kennedy claimed, again with no evidence, that circumcision could be linked to autism.
RFK Jr: An American teenager today has less testosterone than a 68 year old man. Sperm counts are down 50 percent.

WATTERS: Wait — an American teenager has less testosterone than a 68 year old man?

The host was genuinely stunned.
The comment clearly caught host Jesse Watters off guard, forcing him to ask for clarification.
“Wait, wait, a— wait, an American teenager has less testosterone than a 60-year-old man?” Watters asked skeptically.
Kennedy confirmed his statement, replying, “That’s right.” He claimed, without providing evidence for the specific comparison, that “testosterone levels have dropped 50 per cent from historic levels,” which he connected to obesity.
Watters, noted for his anti-LGBTQIA+ commentary, seemed to struggle to maintain his composure during the exchange.
So where did this claim come from…
The statement appears to be an extreme interpretation of disputed research. A 2022 study in the Human Reproduction Update journal did find global sperm counts dropped significantly over the last 50 years. However, some experts challenge those findings, noting the methods for counting sperm have changed.
Regardless, the study does not support Kennedy’s specific comparison between modern teenagers and older men.

Online commentators quickly mocked the Health Secretary’s claim. Many questioned how he could possess such specific information about teenagers. Others highlighted the apparent double standard from conservatives who often accuse opponents of obsessing over children’s private lives while supporting anti-trans policies.
As one user on X wrote: “RFK Jr. is out here worried about young boys’ testosterone and sperm counts… It’s wild how everything conservatives say about liberals always ends up being more true about themselves.”
