Gay Teen Drama In New Horror Film ‘Ganymede’ Starring Jordan Doww

Jordan Doww And Pablo Castelblanco in Ganymede (VMI)

Actor Jordan Doww has landed his first lead role in a new horror film called Ganymede. The movie, which came out this month on digital platforms, is set to be a big moment for Doww’s career.

Ganymede takes place in a small southern USA town. It’s about Lee Fletcher, a top high school wrestler played by Doww. Lee starts to like his gay classmate Kyle, played by Pablo Castelblanco but there’s a problem: Lee’s dad, Big Lee (Joe Chrest from Stranger Things), is very strict and religious. He doesn’t want his son to be gay.

Big Lee calls in Pastor Royer (David Koechner from Anchorman) to try and “fix” Lee. But things get weird when a demon starts chasing Lee. It’s scary, but also funny and a bit campy.

This film shows off Doww’s skills. He gets to scream, act in dramatic family scenes, be funny, and even do some romance. Doww’s been busy for the last ten years doing short films, web shows, and even making his own sketch comedy series called It’s Sketchy.

He’s also been in other things like the film Love, Simon, the indie drama Reach, the web comedy Mr Student Body President, a short gay romance film called Fairlane, and a podcast called Academy.’

Ganymede is directed by Colby Holt and Sam Probst, who are partners in real life, too.
