Gay MAGA Influencer Garrett Bruno Dead At 33 While Awaiting Trial, Charged With Murder
Garrett Bruno, a travel influencer known for his strong support of Donald Trump, has died at his parents’ Florida home. Police found the 33-year-old on 4 March 2025 while he was out on bail, awaiting his murder trial.

From Social Media Star to Legal Woes
Bruno built a following of over 60,000 Instagram fans through his travel content as @garrett.travels. Many of his posts featured his global adventures, but he also maintained a dedicated “Politics” Instagram Story. There, he shared his right-wing views on topics like immigration and what he called “liberal media bias”. Bruno openly supported Trump and running mate JD Vance during their successful 2024 campaign against Kamala Harris.

The Fatal Crash That Changed Everything
On 10 October 2024, Bruno was driving in West Hollywood when he crashed into another vehicle. The collision pushed the second car into a parking garage with devastating results. The crash killed 83-year-old Esther Abouab at the scene and left her husband with serious injuries, according to NBC Los Angeles.
Police later arrested Bruno and charged him with second-degree murder for his role in the crash.

A Series of Tragic Events
In a strange twist, just weeks after the fatal car accident, Bruno had a second serious accident. This time, he crashed while riding a scooter. The impact was so severe that it left him in a coma.
When police went to arrest Bruno at his home, they found he wasn’t there. He was in hospital, unconscious. After doctors discharged him from medical care, authorities transferred him to a Los Angeles jail. He gained release on bail this January.

The Orange County Medical Examiners confirmed Bruno’s death to The Daily Mail last Thursday morning. A spokesperson told the publication that they are still looking into what caused his death.
