Conan Gray And Corey Fogelmanis Get Dreamy In New Music Video, “This Song”

Conan Gray And Corey Fogelmanis in This Song Music Video (Youtube/Conan Gray).

Conan Gray has just dropped the visuals for his latest track, This Song, and it’s a beautifully shot story of young love that many of us will connect with. Starring alongside Gray is Corey Fogelmanis, who you might recognise from My Life with The Walter Boys. Together, they bring a tender, unfolding romance to life.

Sun-Drenched Romance And A Telling Lyric

The music video for This Song feels like watching a cherished memory. Picture this: sunlit fields, playful moments by the water, and those long, quiet drives as day turns to night. There is an undeniable connection between Gray and Fogelmanis from the get-go. They chase each other through meadows and share loaded silences until Gray delivers a line that says it all: “But now I’ll say it straight… I wrote this song about you.” When they finally share a kiss on a rooftop, overlooking the city, it feels like a natural and heartfelt moment. The honesty in this portrayal of affection is something many LGBTQIA+ viewers have been waiting to see.

Even Heartstopper‘s Joe Locke shared his appreciation, commenting “Ok mr muscles,” on Gray’s Instagram. It is a sweet nod between peers, highlighting a sense of community.

A New Chapter With Wishbone And GirlyBoy, Inc.

What makes This Song even more significant? It is the lead single from Gray’s upcoming album, Wishbone, and notably, his first release under his own imprint, GirlyBoy, Inc. This move suggests a new phase of artistic control and personal expression for the singer.

Conan shared some insight into his recent creative process. “Over the past two years, I’ve been secretly writing songs,” he revealed. “After shows in the basements of the venues, in the sheets of my hotel beds, in narrow gaps between tours — I’d come back home and write all the things I felt nobody wanted to hear.” He continued, “Maybe even the things I didn’t want people to hear. I didn’t tell my friends. I didn’t tell my label. After all, I didn’t know I was making anything, and I had no plan to release any of it.”

He added, “I didn’t know what story I was telling, I was just living in it. Slowly I started to see myself in full picture. The slivers of myself I’d always been, but never faced. The songs I’d always been writing, but never singing.” It sounds like Wishbone will offer a deeper look into his experiences. If This Song is anything to go by, we are in for something quite special.
