Ford was born in Pasadena, California, in October 1962 and began his adult film career at age 40 in 2001. His work spanned 22 years with notable studios including Falcon Studios, MRS Releasing, RawFuckClub, All Worlds, and Mustang.

A Remarkable Career Beyond Expectations

Ford received the prestigious GayVN Award for Gay Performer of the Year in 2003, sharing the honour with Michael Brandon. This early recognition cemented his status as a standout performer in the industry.

Beyond his adult film work, Ford enjoyed success as a musician and actor. His discography includes albums Tug Of War (2008), Under The Gloves (2009), and The Way I Am (2013), along with several EPs. His final album, Permission, was released in October 2023.

What many fans might not know is that Ford also appeared in films like Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild and The Lair. He even featured in Cyndi Lauper’s 2008 music video for Into The Nightlife.

Heartfelt Tributes from Friends and Colleagues

News of Ford’s passing has prompted an outpouring of tributes. Chi Chi LaRue shared on Facebook:

“I’m So Shocked and Saddened to Hear and Report the sudden passing of my friend and Icon Glen aka Colton Ford! You will missed! Keep Singing In Heaven!”

Tim Wood, a close friend, revealed more details about the tragedy: “Glenn was involved in a tragic hiking accident this past weekend that took his life. He was a brilliant artist who always kept a song in his heart. Sweet, funny, kind, sassy, and hopelessly handsome.”

Dallas Steele remembered Ford’s positive outlook, writing: “Glenn was such an amazing spirit. Always thinking about what he planned to do next. Always optimistic about the possibilities. I will miss him and his great smile.”

The sudden loss of such a multifaceted talent leaves a gap in both the entertainment world and the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy lives on through his music, performances, and the countless lives he touched with his generous spirit.
