In ongoing collaboration with photographer Xing, the two explore visual storytelling through the everyday landscapes of San Diego, transforming ordinary spaces into intimate, cinematic moments. Xing plays a key role in bringing Christoph Key’s artistic and musical vision into visual form, and together they continue to evolve and push each other forward as artists.
The concept behind “Secondhand Heat” plays on the idea that dating, especially in the gay community, can sometimes feel like searching through a thrift store, layered, unpredictable, and full of stories. But with the right perspective, even something secondhand can feel entirely new again.
