Alright Theatre Lovers, Something “Wicked” This Way Comes + Our First Look At Jonathan Bailey As Fiyero
The first official trailer for the highly-anticipated Wicked: Part One aired during the Super Bowl. Fans of the musical theatre were given spectacular first looks at the cast, including Jonathan Bailey as the hunky male lead Fiyero!

Come Thursday, November 28, we’re invited to take a trip down the Yellow Brick Road and through the world of Oz. Wicked is the critically-acclaimed Broadway musical by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman retelling the classic Wizard Of Oz tale from the perspective of the Wicked Witch (Elfeba).
The film adaption has been in the works for years and fans have been receiving snippets of information. First, we learned who would be the principal cast: Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh and Ethan Slater.
As production began in late 2022, we also learned that there would be two films. Airing at the beginning of the Super Bowl, audiences were treated to the first look at Wicked: Part One. We won’t keep you hanging: here’s Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero!
There’s more than just Jonathan Bailey to gawk at though. The first look gave us a sweeping view of the landscape of Oz in this rendition – equipped with glistening palaces, never-ending fields of flowers and vicious flying monkeys. Looking wickedly perfect are our protagonist besties Elfeba (Erivo) and Glinda (Grande) in their complementing green and pink ensembles.
