“All This Transphobia Is Starting To Piss Me Off” Says YouTuber Mr Beast
Popular YouTube personality Mr Beast (real name Jimmy Donaldson) has taken a stand against transphobic comments directed towards his friend Chris Tyson. Tyson, who recently began hormone replacement therapy and identifies with any gender pronouns, has been subjected to ridicule online, reports Advocate.

According to Advocate, a Twitter user by the name of @Reloyn called out a video that labelled Tyson as Mr Beast’s “nightmare” calling the video “off-putting” and invasive. In response, Donaldson expressed his frustration with the situation. He says, “Yeah, this is getting absurd. Chris isn’t my ‘nightmare’; he’s my f**ken friend and things are fine. All this transphobia is starting to piss me off.”

When making the announcement about being gender nonconforming (gnc), Tyson mentions that gender-affirming hormone therapy is an essential treatment for gnc folks. Tyson goes as far to say it saved their life.
As Mr Beast, Donaldson has used his platform to promote positivity and uses his large following and amassed fortune to engage with philanthropic pursuits including providing surgery for those in need and donating to charities. With 145 million subscribers and a net worth of more than USD500 million, Donaldson uses his influence in positive ways, reports Advocate.
Gender-affirming care is proven to have a beneficial correlation for the mental health of gnc individuals and Chris Tyson’s announcement reflects that in many cases it is life-saving. The response however has been less than favourable from a select few vocal fans.
