Whether it was his fierce energy in Kraven The Hunter, his haunting presence in Nosferatu, or his edge-of-your-seat action moments in The Fall Guy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson kept the spotlight firmly on him.

And just when we thought he might take it easy, 2025 is coming in strong with 28 Years Later. Here’s why Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the name on everyone’s lips and why we’re here for it.

Aaron’s transformation for Kraven The Hunter was nothing short of jaw-dropping. The movie gave us intense action sequences, a rugged edge, and yes, plenty of moments to marvel at his physicality. But how did he get there?

In an interview with The Guardian, Aaron revealed he gained 40 pounds of muscle for the role, hitting 200 lbs. His training wasn’t just about lifting weights, it was about movement. He told Men’s Health, “We did a lot of things like quadrupeds, parkour, gymnastics so it was like nothing you’d ever seen before.”

The Actor Makes the Character

Aaron doesn’t just bring physicality to his roles; he brings a grounded mindset. When asked about passing on roles that went on to become successes, he responded with confidence and clarity: “The actor makes the character,” he explained. “It might have been a great role, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you would have smashed it the same way that other person did.”

It’s refreshing to see someone who’s comfortable in their choices. A proof that knowing your worth makes all the difference.

A Bromantic Comic-Con Moment

For all his talent and charisma, Aaron has also sparked plenty of playful curiosity over the years. Let’s flashback to Comic-Con 2014, where he was promoting Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Sharing the stage with Chris Evans (Captain America), fans couldn’t help but notice their undeniable chemistry. At one point, as they leaned in close for a laugh, the moment felt so intimate it sent fans into a frenzy, with whispers of “Are they or aren’t they?” taking over social media.

Of course, it was all just the best kind of bromance. A playful connection between two actors who clearly enjoy each other’s company. But hey, a little cheeky speculation never hurt anyone, right?

If there was one criticism of Kraven The Hunter, it came from comic-book die-hards who missed seeing Kraven in his signature leopard-print tights. Aaron took it all in stride, saying, “I don’t think the fans will be disappointed with the costume, despite the lack of leopard-print leggings.” And then, with a playful nod, he added, “I should have worn them for the premiere.”

Who knows? There might still be time for that moment to happen.
