The “Red, White And Royal Blue” Sequel We’ve All Been Waiting For Is Confirmed!
Get ready for more royal romance! After the massive success of the queer rom-com Red, White And Royal Blue, fans have been clamoring for a sequel. Their wishes have been granted, as director Matthew López recently announced that a follow-up is in the works at Amazon MGM Studios.

López broke the news at a fan event, where he was asked about the possibility of a sequel. “Yes, there’s going to be a sequel to the movie.” The crowd erupted in cheers as a new promotional image appeared, showing a messy wedding cake next to the words, “Fancy another slice?”
Nicholas Galitzine Eager to See Character Growth in the Sequel
While plot details are being kept under wraps, Nicholas Galitzine, who played Prince Henry in the first film, is set to return. In a recent interview with TV Line, Galitzine expressed his excitement for the sequel, saying, “I can’t wait to see what Casey and Matthew both come up with.”
He added, “With any character, you want to see a semblance of growth, really.” At the end of the first movie, Henry and Alex (played by Taylor Zakhar Perez) went public with their relationship after their emails were hacked and posted online. Galitzine believes that the characters should be at a different point in their lives and have matured, but there should still be an interesting point of conflict.
López is writing the script alongside Casey McQuiston, the author of the original Red, White And Royal Blue novel. Fans can expect the same heartwarming, inclusive, and entertaining storytelling that made the first film a hit.
While we wait for more details on the sequel, you can stream Red, White And Royal Blue on Amazon Prime and fall in love with Henry and Alex all over again.
