Will ‘K’ Be Added To The LGBT+ Acronym?

Conversation on website Quora has been quick to shut down the addition of the letter ‘K’ to the LGBT+ acronym.

Currently, the extended acronym to describe sexuality and orientation other than heterosexual or cisgender is LGBTIQQAACPP2 (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, questioning, asexual, agender, curious, pansexual, polysexual, and two-spirit)

K stands for Kink and was dismissed as part of the rainbow acronym on the basis it is a fetish and neither a sexual orientation nor gender identity, it was also pointed out that kink is not inherently non-cis or non-straight.

What do you think of the addition of ‘K’ to the LGBT+ acronym? Let us know in the comments below or join the conversation on Facebook and Twitter.
