Whoops! Cory Bernardi Slips On Dress!

Cory Bernardi superimpose on a scene from NRL's The Footy Show

Conservative senator Cory Bernardi made a big slip when he shamed Craigburn Primary School’s Do It In A Dress Day as “gender morphing” gone too far – not realising Craigburn is a girl’s school raising money for girl’s education programs in Africa. Bernardi’s hysterical response reminds DNA of the words Madonna sampled from the 1993 film The Cement Garden for her song What It Feel Like For A Girl. Here they are…

“Girls can wear jeans and cut their hair short, wear shirts and boots, because it’s OK to be a boy, but for a boy to look like a girl is degrading, because you think that being a girl is degrading. But secretly you’d love to know what it’s like, wouldn’t you? What it feels like for a girl?”
