The Pope Claims Same-Sex Parented Families Are Not ‘Families’

Keeping up with the Pope is almost as difficult as the Kardashians, especially with his on-again-off-again acceptance of the LGBT community.

Over the weekend, Pope Francis spoke out on many issues including the idea of same-sex couples forming a family.

In a speech to an Italian group for Catholic families, the leader of the Catholic Church said his definition of a family excludes same-sex couples and other “varied” nontraditional family structures.

“It is painful to say this today: People speak of varied families, of various kinds of family,” but “the family [as] man and woman in the image of God is the only one,” Francis said according to news reports.
