POLL: Tell Us How You Feel About… Sex Apps

Whether you call them dating apps, hook-up apps or sex apps, they define the way many gay men meet and have sex.

On the plus side, their convenience and up-front chat style can save time and awkward conversations. Users can find out who’s a top, who’s a bottom, what they like and what they’re up for. It’s the fast food of sex. Place your order and wait for delivery.

On the downside, users can be misleading and misrepresent themselves. The somewhat anonymity of the hook-up chat allows racism, discrimination, bullying and shaming.

At least meeting a potential bonk buddy face-to-face in a bar meant you saw exactly who you were talking to – not a photo taken ten years ago.

Many guys simply use the apps to flirt and chat, rather than arranging sex. And some couples have even fallen in love and married after a hookup.

Tell us what you think. Leave your stories – the good, the bad and the ugly, in the comments section below and take our poll.
