Kevin Spacey “I’m Gay” Following Abuse Allegations From Star Trek Actor

Star Trek: Discovery actor, Anthony Rapp, 46, has claimed that Kevin Spacey, 58, attempted to have sex with him when they were 14 and 26 respectively. According to Rapp, the incident occurred at a party at Spacey’s apartment in New York before either actor was famous.

Spacey, posting on Twitter in response, says he has no memory of the incident, and that as a result of the allegation he has decided to come out as gay. “This story has encouraged me to address other things about my life,” his statement reads. He goes on to say that he has had relationships with both men and women but has chosen to live now as a gay men. He says he is “horrified” to hear Rapp’s story and, if it is true, it must have been “deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour.”

Rapp has stated: “The older I get, and the more I know, I feel very fortunate that something worse didn’t happen. And… the more I can’t believe it. I could never imagine anyone else I know would do something like that to a 14-year-old boy.”

Rapp plays the Lt Stamets on the latest Star Trek spin-off, a character in a gay relationship. Spacey is well known for his movie roles but is currently most recognisable as President Frank Underwood in Netflix’ House Of Cards in which his character has sexual relationships with men and women.
