John Oliver Calls The Australian Same-Sex Marriage Postal Survey An “Odd Thing To Do”

Looks like everyone’s watching, and laughing at the Australian government and the Americans must be relieved it’s not at theirs for a change.

Political satirist John Oliver from HBO’s Last Week Tonight has taken aim at the Australian Government’s $122m voluntary same-sex marriage postal survey and the ridiculous arguments from ’No’ vote campaign in a recent episode of the popular evening show.

Signaling out Liberal Party member Kevin Andrews and his comparison of homosexual “affection relationships” to that of cycling mates who he rides with on each weekend, Oliver quipped that cycling was code for “f*cking”.

He then took aim at Sophie York from the lobby group Marriage Alliance and her suggestion to call same-sex unions “garrage” rather than marriage.
