Jimmy Kimmel Called Out For Gay Jokes

American television host Jimmy Kimmel has been called out for two ‘gay’ jokes he made towards Fox News anchor Sean Hannity and US President Donald Trump.

Kimmel and Hannity have been feuding since Wednesday when Hannity called Kimmel “Harvey Weinstein Jr.” after he made jokes about First Lady Melania Trump.

The on TV-and-Twitter fight saw Kimmel respond with tweets implying that Hannity was in a sexual relationship with Donald Trump.

“When your clown makeup rubs off on Trump’s ass, does it make his butt look like a Creamsicle?” Read Kimmel’s first tweet, this was followed by a second gay tweet.

“Don’t worry – just keep tweeting – you’ll get back on top! (or does Trump prefer you on bottom?) Either way, keep your chin up big fella..XO

Some Kimmel fans found the tweets insulting, criticising him for relying on the idea that calling someone gay is an insult, noting that it actually just insults Kimmel’s LGBT viewers.

Twitter used @JoeWatchesTV summed up many of the responses in his one tweet:

“Suggesting awful people are “gay for each other” isn’t funny to us. You gotta stop.”
