After it was claimed Wallabies fullback had agreed “to think about” the impact of his anti-gay comments, the Rugby player has taken to social media, again, to share his anti-gay beliefs.
Folau shared an 11-minute sermon, from the late Christian evangelist David Wilkerson, to twitter containing anti-gay imagery and commentary.
Captioned “With great love I wanted to share this video in the hope that people watch it and think about it.’
“Jesus is coming back soon and he wants us to turn to him through repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38) please don’t harden your heart,”
The tweet comes barely a month after Folau’s controversy “gay people are going to hell if they don’t repent of their sins” comment on Instagram that saw Rugby bosses, sponsors, fellow sports people and fans condemn his online behavior.
The sermon video speaks numerous times against homosexuality and same-sex marriage. With voice over claiming the rise in tolerance to same-sex marriage as the work of the devil.
Wilkerson describes ‘tolerance’ as a misguided belief of modern-day society.
“Tolerance that is the key word right now, tolerance to same-sex marriage,” the video says
“Young people are buying into that, many Christian young people are saying that we need to be more tolerant, and so they too believe that same-sex marriage is ok.”
