Ellen Degeneres Calls For Brunei Hotel Boycott

Taking to Facebook, Ellen Degeneres has urged fans to boycott hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei in response to the country’s anti-gay laws.

Tomorrow, the country of Brunei will start stoning gay people to death. We need to do something now. Please boycott these hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei. Raise your voices now. Spread the word. Rise up.

Posting a list of hotels owned by the sultan Ellen said, “Tomorrow, the country of Brunei will start stoning gay people to death,

“We need to do something now. Please boycott these hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei. Raise your voices now. Spread the word. Rise up.”

Calling for the boycott Ellen joins other celebrities such as Elton John and George Clooney who have criticised Brunei’s new laws that whip and stone LGBTIQ people.
