What are going to be the hottest tracks on your playlist this summer?
DJ Mickey: Pink’s What About Us and Rita Ora’s Your Song are definitely on my playlist this summer along with some remixed classics like Alex Ross’ Dreams and John Gibbons Would I Lie To You.
You played at the DNA Pool Party last year in very small swim briefs – thank you! Has DJ-ing in briefs ever got you into trouble?
Oh, those swim briefs were tiny! I don’t think they even fit me anymore. Thanks for reminding me. Now I feel embarrassed. I don’t think it’s the briefs that get me in trouble, somehow trouble just seeks me out… hmmm. As a dancer I learned how to avoid wardrobe malfunctions and hands that stray. I make sure the drawstring it extra tight.

As a DJ you must see clubbers at their best and worst!
I always think I’ve seen it all until something happens and I’m surprised yet again. My favourite is when I see people let their guard down… I’ve fallen in love under the laser lights and smoke machines. Please don’t judge me for being a bit of a romantic.
Is it important for DJs to have a strong look these days?
Yes, making your look an extension of your personality is a great idea. I can’t imagine being anyone else but me.
There’s a trend in gay clubland towards smaller, boutique events and parties. What do you think is driving that?
It’s the amount of emerging talent in our community. I’m so excited about it. It’s refreshing to see so many doors opening.
What can we expect from your set at this year’s DNA Christmas Pool Party?
Expect uplifting, meaty vocals filled with funky beats that will get you singing and dancing.
And what will you be wearing?
You will just have to buy a ticket and find out for yourself.
