It’s rare to find both Trump and LGBT supporters agreeing over something, a tweet by singer Bette Midler has done just that.
The Divine Miss M, who has long been vocal against the Trump administration on social media, made a gay joke about the upcoming meeting between The American President Donald Trump and the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
‘Trump and Putin are meeting in Finland next month,’ she wrote.
‘That’s a long way to travel for a blowjob, but hey — Putin’s got the money.’
Trump and Putin are meeting in Finland next month. That’s a long way to travel for a blowjob, but hey — Putin’s got the money.

Twitter was not impressed by the perceived homophobic rhetoric and responded.
Ah Bette I’ve no problem with you getting a dig at @realDonaldTrump or #Putin @KremlinRussia_E. I don’t think it’s ‘crude’ but it’s lazy and thoughtless to imply homosexuality is a slur, especially in #PrideMonth You can do better!

Homosexuality is not a punchline to people who aren’t bigots. https://t.co/librcdXu2s

Interesting that the LEFT calls Trump sexist names, but think its perfectly acceptable if they do it! Never ceases to amaze me how hypocritical you ALL are!

Hi. This is literally homophobic. That’s all I wanted to say.

Nothing divine about that tweet.

Do you think Bette Midler’s joke was homophobic?
