Believe It – Cher Is Coming Back To Australia

Cher | Machado Cicala Morassut

Get ready Australia! If you missed out on seeing Cher at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, the iconic pop diva is making her way back Down Under later this year.

Cher headlined the 2018 Mardi Gras After Party in March and surprised spectators by walking out into Taylor Square during the parade.

Speaking with reporters, Cher said she loved the feeling of the parade and even chimed in about Australia’s passing of same-sex marriage laws. “It’s about time,” Cher said.

The American singer praised the Sydney Mardi Gras and said she wished she had attended one earlier. “I love that everybody is having such a good time and there’s no feeling of any kind of anger, there’s no negativity and that’s what I like most.

“All the people with everything hanging out, and fabulous girls with their slap on and big hair and no clothes – I love it.”

Celebrating more than six decades in the entertainment industry, Cher will tour the country starting in Newcastle on September 28.

The Here We Go Again! tour will expand on her Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras performance and comes as a surprise to fans as the last time we saw Cher tour Australian was in 2005 as part of her three-year Farewell Tour.

DNA has been told we can expect, flamboyant costumes and elaborate stage production as part of a 90-minute performance of classics including: Believe, If I Could Turn Back Time, Strong Enough, Gypsies Tramps And Thieves and I Got You Babe.
