Australia’s Oxford Streets Camp It Up For Mardi Gras

To celebrate the upcoming Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, each Oxford Street sign post across the country has been glammed up in sea of rainbow.
Seven Oxford Streets across Australia have had the make-over thanks to ANZ Bank, with a giant art instalment set up at Bondi Beach pointing to all 123 Oxford Streets across the country.
“We’re letting everyone know that no matter how far from Oxford St Sydney you are, we’re supporting you as we strive for inclusive communities and an #equalfuture for all”, said ANZ marketing head Carolyn Bendall in a press release.
Mittagong, New South Wales. Berry Springs, Northern Territory. Deep Lead, Victoria. Port Pirie Regional Tourism and Arts Centre, South Australia. East Bunbury, Western Australia. Rockhampton, Queensland. East Launceston, Tasmania.

Mittagong, NSW – ‘Eternal Flame’, Oxford St & Bourne Cl.

Rockhampton, Qld – ‘Pink FlaminGo-Go’, Oxford St & Talford Street.

The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade takes place on Saturday March 2.
