Regardless of race, gender, occupation or wealth, one thing we all have in common is dreams. Dreams do not differentiate, nor do they discriminate.
By exploring the diversity of dreams of the individual, The Dreams We Have project from the photographer Billy Plummer revealed a fundamental truth – there is no such thing as ordinary, but the extraordinary lies within all of us.
To celebrate the upcoming Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras festival and give a voice to Sydney’s local LGBTIQA+ community, we helped invite people to share their dreams and compose a beautiful book presenting a series of portraits that capture the character and charisma of each individual.
Featuring their handwritten dreams, this book is a compilation and intimate celebration of the diversity within our community.
All proceeds from the book go to ACON to support their dream towards Mental Health awareness in the LGBTIQA+ community.
While many LGBTIQ people live happy, healthy and productive lives, there is a range of preventable mental health issues which affect a disproportionate number of people in the LGBTIQA+ community, when compared to the general population.
