After a short two-year hiatus, Naarm/Melbourne alt-pop artist Kittling is back with a brand new single called Wax. Accompanying the song, Kittling has released a retro-style video that draws inspiration from the camp musical Little Shop Of Horrors.
WAX/RUNNING THINKING BEING
Kittling is an LGBTQIA+ queer audio-visual artist and analog synth enthusiast which is reflected in his music. Kittling is the moniker of Alex Brittan who has a genre-traversing discography; with projects that engage folk, ambient and pop styles. Brittan’s passion for accessible music spaces recently culminated in a Creative Victoria grant to produce a neurodiverse-friendly club night, launching in 2023.
Influenced by a love of funk, R&B and disco from the ’70s and ’80s, Wax embodies the retro sound that Kittling enjoys in his music. An instrumental B-side Running Thinking Being, is a pulsating New Wave track.
WAX by Kittling will be released on all streaming platforms November 28th, along with the music video.
