DNA: How do you choose the subjects of your art?
Golian Michael: I like to travel and when I have vacation I visiting a lot of different places and buildings, I meet new people. Ones I saw handsome guys playing PokemonGO and didn’t know this game yet, I ask them what they playing to, and they show me the game that “I have to catch them all” and I thought it would be great to show how I see those pokemon as guys I want to catch, I have started from the drawings that born in my imagination and then guys love it so much and asked from me to draw them as pokemon they like or choose, this is how was born this “Pokeman” art project.

DNA: Do you work with live models or photos and how explicit does it get?
Golian: My drawing and art are my hobbies that ones I hope will become much more, I’m an interior designer who works in an architecture office in Tel Aviv, that’s why I drawing at my free time from work: evenings, weekends and vacations. My models are from all over the world, I directing them with the pose or choose with them pictures that express the character. I working mostly with photos and trying to get them as much explicit as I can because I think that man naked body is beautiful in every shape, light and shadow.

DNA: What are the tools of your trade?
Golian:I using iPad Pro and Apple Pencil and two of my favourite apps for drawing – Procreate and Paper by 53.

DNA: Why is it important for people to reconnect with art?
Golian: Artists trying to express their selves feeling, state of mind through colours, forms and different techniques if it’s on a paper or made digitally. Art made people happier, if someone smile or just say “wow” looking at my drawing I think that we got a connection through the art.

DNA: What has been your most popular artwork?
Golian: My most popular artwork is from my last art project called: “Neon guys” and I calling to this piece “Running man”. I think it’s become popular because every one of us like nightlife and a huge part of it is Neon signs that invite us to get in and have fun. “Running man” is like nonstop moment running in your memory from hot summer vacation and you just don’t want it to stop.

DNA: What’s your favourite piece?
Golian: Oh wow, it’s a hard question for the artist. I love every piece I made because I’m putting part of my feeling in it. I’m always saying when I drawing portrait: “I’m drawing lips this way that I want to kiss it and eyes that can mirror how do I like this guy”.
