Billy Slater
Date: 22-Sep-2007
This is the second-last week of the NRL season so we're taking all the chances we get to cram in as much Aussie rugby league beef as we can. This weekend, the Melbourne Storm play the Parramatta Eels for a palce in the Grand Final. Adorable Billy Slater is a star with the Storm.
These pics show him getting dacked during a match, checked out by the team doctor, and appearing in red speedos for a charity football swim.
The Storm's official site lists this profile of Billy:
Billy started playing league for the Brothers club in Innisfail as a four-year-old. Quit league at 15 to concentrate on his other passion, riding horses. He worked with the Waterhouse stable for six months before becoming homesick. Started playing league again and early in 2001 he drove 20 hours to Brisbane to trial with Norths Devils. He was offered a contract and after two impressive seasons in the Queensland Cup, he was offered a spot on the Storm roster. Billy has since forged a reputation as one of the games excitement machines, winning the club's leading try-scorer award in 2005, equaling Matt Geyer's club record of 20. He represented Queensland at State-of-Origin level in 2004 and 2005 and after a 2006 season interrupted by suspension; he played in the club's grand final team.
Our hero!
Oh, don't forget we've still got a pair of x-wear footy shorts to give away to whoever posts the hottest NRL or AFL player pic at our
Hottest Footy Code comp! Thanks as always to BrettStewart at Famous Males Forums for the great screen caps.
