How did it feel recording your message for Ben and what was it like watching him receive it on last week's episode of Big Brother?

It’s been really hard for me not seeing that much of Ben talking about me or, from what I can see, thinking about me. When I had the call from Big Brother about making the clip, it was a relief to know that I could send a message to him. I was quite emotional because I didn’t really know what to say or how to get my message across about how proud I was of him. Watching his reaction was absolutely outstanding. I was flooded with so much support on Twitter and Facebook. It absolutely went mental.

How has the reaction to Ben by people on Social Media sites changed as the series has progressed?

When he first went into the house, people were very quick to label him in a really bad way. People were saying that he was a bully, a bitch and a backstabber without giving him a chance. I got so many messages from people telling me I should break up with him and it was just horrible. That went on for about a week or so and people started to see who he really was. There was a lot of gay people saying that “typical gay bitch, gives us a bad name” and I kind of struggled to see how they thought that. He’s so close to his family, his mum in particular. He’s got a really incredible, close group of friends. We’ve been in a committed relationship for over two years now. We’ve got a dog, we live in a really nice house, we live a pretty normal life, we go out, but we also stay home and have DVD nights. So I’m really not sure how they thought he would be giving gay people a bad name.

What made Ben want to go into the Big Brother house?

He’s actually auditioned about six or seven times. He’s always wanted to have that experience. He told me this time round that he thought he had a good chance from the beginning. He was bullied at high school, which is one of the reasons he wanted to go in the house in the first place. He thought, “I want to prove to these people that I’ve become something more than just a picked on kid at school.”

Is the Ben we’re seeing in the house the real Ben?

If you had cameras in our house, you would be seeing exactly the same person. That’s just Ben.

Do you think Ben will win Big Brother?

I think he will definitely be in the top three. Obviously I would love for him to win it. But I think it will probably be Michael, Zoe and Ben. Maybe Stacey as well.

What’s the first thing you’ll do with Ben when you’re reunited?

It depends on how crazy all the publicity will be. We planned to go away. One of our friends has a little cabin in the woods. We’re going to go away and just have a couple of days to ourselves where we can just catch up and fall in love all over again.

Is there anything else you’d like DNA readers to know?

Ben is a really fun, loveable, loyal person. A lot of people sent hate messages saying he was a bully but everyone who knows him knows that he’s far from a bully. He’s always the person people go to. He’s a really lovely guy, he’s a genuine person and I’m lucky he’s mine.
