OMG! I just got the latest DNA with Lars Slind on the cover. I’m in LOVE! Is he gay? Can I have him? Eric

If Lars is a Viking I’m a village. Rape and pillage away Lars! M Punter

The fur level was perfect on your latest cover hunk, Lars. He’s absolutely gorgeous and thanks for not shaving him. Stephen

The cover shot of Lars on DNA #115 was HORRIBLE! His stomach seemed like it was painted on. That’s how Photoshopped the final image looks, and the shot itself isn’t all that great either! All in all, a very disappointing cover selection! :( On a happier note, DNA is still the best gay mag on the market! It absolutely shits over all the crappy USA gay rags. C-
Thanks C-, Lars’ luscious tummy is all real and certainly NOT painted on, nor is it Photoshopped. Maybe HORRIBLE! means something different where you come from.

The recent fundamentalist attacks in Israel on members of the gay community prove that extremists lie in every corner of the world and on almost every issue. Any execution of people because of their sexuality represents the darkest and most sinister area of the intolerant mind. What we are witnessing is a new form of terrorism on gay people, originating from ultra-orthodox convictions on compulsory heterosexuality. A lifestyle choice is not a reason or justification to murder anybody. Conformity, orthodoxy, religious beliefs or individual prejudices are not to be regarded either. It seems our world has such a long way to go before we live in harmony. Maurice Fitzgerald, County Cork, Ireland

I must admit I agree with MJL [DNA #115, Burnttoast]. He’s scathing but right. We destroyed our gay scene in our pursuit of equality and acceptance. Shows how pitiful, pathetic and paltry we are. Perhaps we need to reinvent ourselves and prove to the world we too can have a good and robust gay scene like other countries. Mardi Gras needs a massive rebirth. It’s lost its glamour, fun and what it is about. Time to show some strength of character and prove us gay men are not subservient people for mainstream society and do have a strong will to be recognised. Radical53
For those who missed it last month, MJL from Doncaster, England wrote, in part: “You are undoubtedly the most evil, FILTHY nation on our dear Lord’s earth… There will be no divine mercy whatsoever for your vile, failed penal colony.” We don’t think he was offering a rational critique of our gay scene, unless he means Oxford Street at 6am on Sunday morning, in which case he’s spot on!

Like many of you, I love a hairy, masculine guy. The best I have seen lately is Darren Palmer from Channel 9’s Home Made. Darren is hot with a nice hairy chest you just want to lick all over and biceps to die for. Please DNA, make Daz a cover model. hotnhairy
We’re totally with you there, hotnhairy. Daz would make a great cover guy and he’s perfect for our new Design section.

I just want to thank all you guys at DNA for a fab mag. I now have all 114 issues. Keep them coming, love your work. James Robbie
Yay, and we love you too, James. You are the Sexiest Burnttoast Letter Alive!

I simply must write in and tell you what a great job you are doing. I keep all your magazines. A particular favourite of mine is DNA #104. I enjoyed your Sexiest Men Alive in 2008. What a feast. I do, however, disagree with some of your choices. I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Chris Rockway – now that’s a man. But Mattthew McConaughey is so yesterday. He’s nothing without his chest. I don’t think much of him at all. In fact, he’s a skank! I also would like to see more sports stars. They’re hot, especially swimmers and footballers. Anonymous, Perth
Thanks for all the feedback [this particular letter went for 10 A4 pages]! We appreciate your input and always love to hear what people like and what they don’t like. You’ll be happy to know that Chris Rockway made the cut again in this year’s Sexiest Men Alive and Matthew McConaughey is out – there’s no room for skanks here! If you like sports stars you’re in luck because we’ve got heaps more this time around.

THE HOT TOPIC

WHAT ARE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT ON THE DNA FORUM?

My bf and I are interested in messing around with other guys together. We were using the net to scout but don’t know if we can be bothered and people never end up being what they claim. So, lately we’ve been thinking about gay saunas/sex-on-premises venues, but are unsure. Has anyone had any experiences that could help shed some light? What are the rules and accepted protocols? The main thing holding us back is the thought that it would mostly be older guys. We are looking for younger as we are both 20. Also, is it overtly sleazy and unsafe?

– They are as sleazy as you want them to be. Be cool and be yourself and don’t be afraid to say no thanks. You’ll be okay.

– I’ve never done the gay sauna thing and have to admit I’d be a bit nervous.

–Like all cruise-for-sex locations, you set your own rules on what you will and won’t do. They’re pretty strict on anti-social behaviour.

– Your main concern is older guys? They were my preferred choice when I was single. There are some ultra sexy older men out there, mate.

– I don’t really understand the need for couples to play around, as it only suggests that the intimacy between the two of you lacks adventure. There are so many “tools” out there to add spice to your sex life without the need to add a third cock. Your imagination is a wilderness, just waiting to be explored. I do applaud you both for not playing behind one another’s back.
